Roast Beef sandwich is served on really good sourdough. The beef is top quality, plentiful, lean, and flavorful. The creamy coleslaw is excelleny excellent. My wife had the fried chicken. She was very satisfied.
Good food at a reasonable price, fast and friendly service, laid back atmosphere. Kind of a throwback, not pretentious at all.

An average old favorite neighborhood spot, Smitty's serves good food, cold beer and friendly smiles. On this visit my wife had the Cobb salad that is one of Smitty's staples. Always fresh lettuce with crisp bacon, chopped chicken boiled egg and delicious blue cheese with all the ingredients. It's the best Cobb in STL. I had the cheese burger and fries. Juicy, tasty and plenty large. Served with lots of hot, crisp fries, it's everything you would expect. Also recommended is their delicious, crispy fried chicken special served every Tuesday and Wednesday. It's probably the best chicken in west county. Smitty's is a bar and grill, not a fancy joint with beautiful west county people. They have real people, really good food and reasonable prices. It's definitely a great go-to place for food and drink.
This little dive bar restaurant is tucked away in the back corner of a little strip mall and looks like someplace your parents took you to when you were a kid. Best food in the area and always served by the nicest people. Drinks are well made and the price is reasonable. Never disappoints. It's as old school quality as you can get. Get there early if you want the fried chicken special.
The food is REALLY good, to start off. The problem is, it's so good that the place is packed with locals on the regular. Every time I've gone to take someone, the wait was a bit much. In my experience, this is not a place to pop in and out for food, so plan to sit down and enjoy yourself. Half the time I've tried to avoid the wait and attempted to order online ahead, for pickup, it's just turned off... I went in to see if I could order for takeout instead, but it was apparent why they turned it off - it was going to be an hour at least. Much better luck when I know at lunch time what my group wants for dinner, and order ahead before it's turned off. Maybe I just happen to have bad luck with timing, but it seems like it's a popular place for a good reason... it has just been frustrating to attempt to enjoy it regularly.

Smitty's is a local watering hole with decent food. It's been around for a number of years. The vibe is super casual. It can get a little loud with so many people talking and laughing, but it's not annoying. The service is decent. There seems to typically be only one server for the few tables out in the sidewalk, the dining room and the bar area. That being said, they hustle and do a decent job of getting around to everyone. I would say the food is consistent. They have some typical bar food and more. They also have daily specials. I would not recommend salads as they're usually subpar. Give them a try!
